Wednesday, July 11 – The Nantucket Comedy Festival is the premier fundraising event for the Stand Up & Learn™ Education Program. Provided free of charge throughout the year to students ages 8-18, Stand Up & Learn™ workshops teach kids self-confidence, creative writing, team building and communication skills that they will use throughout their school years and into adulthood. We kick off every Nantucket Comedy Festival with this show to highlight some very funny kids as they perform original standup comedy routines developed during a Stand Up & Learn™ workshop. Wednesday, July 11 – A rousing standup comedy showcase featuring Nantucket’s best local comedians as well as some very talented nationally touring performers. The Nantucket Comedy Festival was founded in 2007 and is one of the country’s most successful comedy festivals thanks to the generous support of comedians (who all donate their time to this fundraising event), our sponsors, and the great people of Nantucket. This show is a great chance to celebrate them all with an evening of laughter.

Thursday, July 12 – Back by popular demand, our third annual Ladies Who Lunch & Laugh event will once again provide an afternoon of hilarious comedy entertainment along with a fabulous lunch - and perhaps a cocktail or two. So Ladies, bring your BFF and prepare for some belly laughs. It’s great for your core! Please note: This is a Ladies Only event (sorry gents) but gentlemen may share their Patron Passes with a lady for the afternoon. Thursday, July 12 – Always a Nantucket Comedy Festival favorite, Ladies Night features national headlining comediennes who arrive on Nantucket with plenty of funny to share. Armed with quick wits, sharp pencils and rapid fire delivery, these veterans of television, film and stage make Thursday night of the Festival one to remember. This show is for Ladies and Gentlemen, so it makes for a perfect date night or a fun night out with the girls.

Friday, July 13 – Join us as we celebrate America’s Funniest Home Videos, the longest running primetime entertainment show on ABC, with Emmy-winning producer Vin Di Bona. Originally airing in 1989, America's Funniest Home Videos (AFV) has given television audiences almost 30 years of comedy (usually unintentional and somewhat painful) from videos submitted by viewers. Bring your whiffle ball bat and prepare to get hit with some funny. This show is for the whole family!

Friday, July 13 – Comedy legends Ron White and Steven Wright join us for our annual Friday Night Lights show. Ron “Tater Salad” White is a Multi-Platinum recording artist, 2-time Grammy Award Nominee and one of the top 3 grossing comedians on tour in the United States for the past five years. One of the original infamous Boston “Ding Ho” Comedians, Steven Wright is an Academy Award winner as well as 2-time Emmy Award winner. He was called “the 15th Greatest Comedian of All Time” by Rolling Stone Magazine. This is an incredible opportunity to see both of these amazing comics on stage at the Dreamland Theatre.

Saturday, July 14 – A live on-stage taping of the hilarious Opie Radio podcast. Opie Radio is the original podcast for discovering new comics, varying viewpoints and hilarious commentary. Opie has been synonymous with irreverent and hilarious radio for decades. He has come a long way from his shock jock days, and his talent as a curator of captivating conversation is undeniable. Helping Opie entertain and inform are long-time close friends Vic Henley and Carl “The Mad Cuban” Ruiz, who will both join him at the Dreamland for this live taping.

Saturday, July 14 – The crowning event of every Nantucket Comedy Festival: Boston vs. New York! Multiple Emmy Award-winning sports reporter Bob Ley is the longest tenured on-air anchor at ESPN – and the longest tenured umpire of the Nantucket Comedy Festival’s Comedy SmACKdown. The Nantucket Comedy Festival culminates in this heated rivalry, pitting national headlining comedians from Boston against national headlining comedians from New York. Who will hit a home run this year? Who will strike out? The audience will clearly be the winner of this show, so get your tickets early. It always sells out.
